The Columbian College of Arts & Sciences (CCAS) delivers a transformative liberal arts education in the heart of our nation’s capital. CCAS is the intellectual and creative backbone of GW —a place where research thrives, critical thinking is encouraged, collaboration is constant, and real-world training goes hand-in-hand with learning.
When you support CCAS, you invest in the next generation of big thinkers who are curious, socially aware, and ready to make a difference and dedicated faculty mentors who guide students to think, ask questions, and use their knowledge in meaningful ways.
Here are some unique gift areas at CCAS that may interest you on GW Giving Day:
- Ted Turner Professorship of Environmental Media: After a multi-year effort involving hundreds of donors, the Ted Turner Visiting Professor of Environmental Media, John D. Sutter, has joined the faculty at Columbian College’s School of Media and Public Affairs. Join this community of funders in continuing to expand support for this effort to honor CNN’s founder, Ted Turner, and to position GW and its School of Media and Public Affairs to lead the world in preparing its students to be the critically-needed environmental storytellers of the future.
- Cisneros Hispanic Leadership Institute: Support the Cisneros Hispanic Leadership Institute as it draws on the strength of the George Washington University and the resources of the nation’s capital to cultivate citizen scholars and innovative research focused on the Latino community.
- Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration's (Catalyst Fund): Support TSPPPA students through this fund, which provides unrestricted resources to move quickly when opportunities arise for students' professional development. The fund's main goal is to facilitate students' career-related activities beyond the campus by covering costs for students' conference fees, community service engagement, short-term research projects, and participation in external student competitions.
Make an “Only-at-GW” liberal arts experience possible for all students who choose to study at CCAS.
Join us on Giving Day and help change the lives of countless students at CCAS.
