The Department of Political Science is one of the largest political science departments in the world, with 1,000+ majors – a number that grows each year. Our program offers students a unique opportunity to both study and witness politics and policy in the nation's capital. In addition to learning through our courses, which are structured around six core disciplines, we encourage our students to immerse themselves in the many professional experiences the District has to offer.
