It’s National Kidney Month! Will you join the Ron and Joy Paul Kidney Center in taking action to raise awareness and expand access to kidney care?
Kidney disease affects an estimated 37 million people in the U.S. (15% of the adult population; more than 1 in 7 adults). Approximately 90% of those with kidney disease don't know they have it - leading to kidney failure and transplantation as the life-saving option.
At the Ron and Joy Paul Kidney Center, we take a comprehensive approach to kidney care: from screening to diagnosis, treatment, transplant, and recovery.
Through the Center's educational outreach programs, we've detected early-stage kidney disease in 45% of people screened, helping many in the D.C. area seek treatment to reverse the disease's effects. And since the Center's founding, we've given life to nearly 400 kidney transplant recipients.
But we can't do it alone. We need your help!
From outreach to transplant, you can support our efforts by providing the at-risk communities in our area with the tools to take control of their kidney health and the crucial assistance patients, their families and donors need.
Donors like you help ensure that every kidney patient has access to quality kidney care, treatment, and the tools they need to regain their lives!
