GW’s School of Engineering & Applied Science’s (SEAS) recipe for success in producing outstanding engineers and computer scientists: a spectacular Science and Engineering Hall; a fast growing research enterprise; talented faculty recruited from top programs; and our unique location. A critical ingredient includes support from donors like you.
A gift of $100 can provide transportation funding for students interested in attending national conferences, logistical support for student organization events, or scholarship support to talented students in need. Every gift counts and contributes greatly to our students and their dreams.
SEAS is an intimate community of faculty, staff, and students whose efforts are intertwined. Your contribution keeps our school vibrant and engaging. Open doors for the next generation of engineers.

"With this scholarship, I am able to attend GW and focus on my studies rather than worrying about excessive debt. I feel encouraged that donors believe in investing in my education; this pushes me to work harder and make more of my undergraduate education at GW. I look forward to making an impact in the world thanks to my GW education and your generosity!" Sydney Kleingartner, SEAS ’22
Priorities
SEAS Student Aid
Scholarships—which allow our students to pursue their dreams, regardless of their financial means—are essential to recruiting and retaining a diverse student body. There is often a correlation between unmet financial need and diminished academic performance. Gifts to this fund allow students to focus on their education, instead of financial circumstances.
School of Engineering & Applied Science Annual Support
The Dean’s Fund provides resources for the school’s unbudgeted needs which are integral components of student success. Your investment in this fund provides support for: faculty and students to attend regional and national conferences; budgetary requests from student groups, such as National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and Theta Tau, professional engineering fraternity; the annual Research & Development Showcase; and the Summer Undergraduate Program for Engineering Research (SUPER).
