About

For nearly 35 years, the George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM) has served as the preeminent graduate school for applied politics, advocacy, and communications. GSPM has not only educated thousands of students on how Washington works, but has helped them forge successful careers in the fields of politics and public affairs. From steering policy initiatives through legislatures and managing high-profile candidate campaigns to spearheading corporate communications on a global stage, GSPM alumni are dedicated to serving the public and changing the greater world.

There is plenty of talent. There is not enough opportunity. Open a door for the next generation of citizen leaders at GW.

"This scholarship helped assure that I could continue my education in Legislative Affairs at GSPM. At a time when everything was uncertain, this scholarship helped me focus on my academics, on my professional endeavors, and, most importantly, on getting the most out of my education and experience in Washington, D.C. That guarantee was priceless. On behalf of all the recipients of scholarships at GW, thank you for contributing." Mikaela Rose Tajo, CPS ’22

Priorities

O'Dwyer Endowment for Student Loan Forgiveness

This fund, created by GW alums Brian O'Dwyer, BA ’66, LLM ’76, and Marianna O'Dwyer, BA ’67, MA ’70, provides loan relief to GSPM graduate students who pursue public interest careers. Your investment in this fund helps lift the financial burden for GSPM students who utilize their education to serve the public good.

GSPM Director’s Fund

The GSPM Director's Fund is a critical resource dedicated to enhancing the entire student experience. Through this fund, GSPM maintains the Director's Scholars initiative, a merit-based tuition award of $20,000 for entering students. This fund also allows the GSPM Director to amplify academic programs and expand student opportunities—including global residencies, special seminars, and career networking—that provide immediate value in the professional world. Your gift magnifies this fund’s impact on our students.
