GW Athletics helps student-athletes strengthen their determination, commitment, and respect while competing at a championship level. An essential part of this effort is our financial commitment to each team. From Academic All-Americans to more than 270 student-athletes on the A-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll, scholarships fuel GW’s winning streak.
Your support helps us provide athletic scholarships to recruit scholar-athletes, support every team with their day-to-day operational needs, and recruit and retain the best staff. Funding athletic scholarship to the NCAA limit is essential to compete at the highest levels and yet GW Athletics is not fully funded in our 20 sports.
Scholarship funding—including endowed scholarships that last in perpetuity— is essential to the long-term sustainability of our programs. Talented students deserve a shot; let’s make the assist and open doors for our student-athletes.

"I am honored to have the ability to compete as
a GW student-athlete. This title comes with much responsibility including
expressing my appreciation for funding my scholarship, which made it possible for me to attend the GW School of
Engineering & Applied Science while competing on the track team." Miles Grant, SEAS ’23

There is no better place to excel as a leader than at GW, where student-athletes develop athletically and academically in the heart of our nation’s capital. Together, we can ensure that all of our student-athletes are set up for success in the classroom, in competition, and in their aspirations beyond graduation. Join us in supporting scholarships for deserving student-athletes to prepare them for success in competition, in their studies, and in the greater world.
