About

Our student-athletes excel in academics and sports, but these achievements come with challenges like hectic schedules, rigorous workouts, and fierce competition. These stressors, coupled with the demands of a top-tier university, underscore the importance of mental health support. Your gift will help GW provide our student-athletes with the skills and resources they need to navigate the challenges they face.

a note from GW Men’s Soccer Head Coach Craig Jones

“Several years ago, I personally experienced the effects that mental health challenges can have on our everyday well-being.  At this point it became a priority in working with my athletes to break down the barriers and stigmas surrounding mental health and create a space that encouraged conversation, education and how we can help each other.

As more athletes show the bravery to share their stories, we now need to continue moving forward and get to a place where we have the resources available to them and assist them in their everyday lives and the challenges they face.” – GW Men’s Soccer Head Coach Craig Jones ‘99
