About

Fund the next generation of GW student tech entrepreneurs and innovators.

We invite you to join the global GW innovation and entrepreneurship community in our crowdfunding campaign to fund the next generation of GW student entrepreneurs and innovators by supporting the 2021 GW New Venture Competition (NVC).

Our goal is to raise $25,000 towards the NVC Tech Venture Track Prizes.  Your support will allow us to give GW student teams in the Tech Venture Track:

  • $10,000 to the 1st place winner
  • $5,000 to the 2nd place team
  • $5,000 to the 3rd place team
  • $5,000 to the 4th place team

Your gift of $25, $100, $250, $500, or more makes it possible for the best and brightest at GW to bring their ideas to fruition.

Your donations up to our goal, go directly to GW student teams. That’s right, no overhead and no administration costs. If we are able to raise more than our goal, gifts would directly support other aspects of NVC.

“The prize money has helped me grow and turned my research project into a functioning business” - Lucas Vining-Recklitis (CCAS BA '22), 2020 Tech Venture Tack cash winner, and founder of Ichosia Biotechnology.

Thank you for investing in the next generation of student entrepreneurs at GW and the GW New Venture Competition. Donate today.

WHY GIVE

We know this is a difficult time to ask for financial support. Many of us are enduring hard economic times. Others, in slightly more secure circumstances, are focused on public health, privacy, and medical technologies to help slow the infection of COVID-19. You may be pleased to know that many of our GW student innovators are working to solve these exact problems.

The GW New Venture Competition is also not immune to the conditions made by the pandemic and is in uncharted territory in regards to guaranteeing prize money for winners in the Tech Ventures Track. Without the help of our supporters, alumni, parents, and friends who believe that the world needs innovation now more than ever, we will not be able to enhance tech ventures created by our students.

Your support towards our $25,000 goal will go directly to student innovators. No overhead and no administration costs. All donations, up to our goal, go directly to GW student team ventures in the 2021 GW New Venture Competition.

MORE ABOUT THE GW NEW VENTURE COMPETITION

Since its inception in 2008, the GW New Venture Competition has served as a launchpad for over 2,000 student entrepreneurs. Each year, teams have the opportunity to hone their ideas, pitch to industry professionals, and compete for over $500,000 worth of prizes. These prizes fuel the most promising visions and empower the GW entrepreneurs of tomorrow to launch and operate their venture and to aspire to new heights of innovation.

Your gift of $25, $100, $250, $500, or more makes it possible for the best and brightest to bring their ideas to fruition. Your support funds the next generation of GW student tech entrepreneurs and innovators.

Thank you for investing in the next generation of student entrepreneurs at GW and the GW New Venture Competition.
