About

The I Heart GW SPH Campaign is back! An annual GW Public Health peer-to-peer student-led fundraiser that demonstrates social action through philanthropy and advocacy.

Our world has been dramatically transformed over the last two years, yet we've witnessed the power of science, technology, and action to influence and shape the future of medicine.

At SPH, the pandemic challenged us in ways we never imagined, but as a student body and public health community, we grew and adapted together. Through this growth, we looked to each other for support and recognized there were unexpected hardships and needs right here in our own Milken Family.

The Public Health Rapid Response Fund was created with the purpose of providing critical support to GWSPH students in need.

The pandemic continues to challenge us, and the need in our community is still present. Your donations to the campaign will directly provide emergency assistance for students who need help with housing and transportation, as well as those who struggle to stay in school because of lost income from job loss. Your assistance is vital in keeping those students safe and secure.

Gifts of all sizes to the Public Health Rapid Response Fund have a profound impact on students.

  • $50 provides a grocery gift card for a student facing food insecurity
  • $100 provides an internet hotspot for a student to reliably login to online classes
  • $500 helps cover the cost of a laptop
  • $1000 helps provide housing assistance

Students who make a $50 one-time gift or pledge of $10/year for 5 years will receive an I Heart GW Public Health t-shirt as a thank you gift.

Alumni, faculty, staff, friends and family are invited to join in supporting students as well!
