GW Hillel: Make Our House a Home

GW Hillel is excited to gather as a community in the new building on the corner of H and 23rd St., in the heart of campus and downtown DC. The building, along with the programs and services housed within it, will help to provide GW students the tools they need to lead meaningful, vibrant Jewish lives during their time on campus and beyond.

Many alumni remark that “GW Hillel is a home away from home.” Your support will allow Hillel to purchase items and equipment that will truly activate the space, and allow it to be one of warmth and community for our students.

By raising $15,000+, your support will help Hillel purchase such items as:

• A coffee maker to ensure students are fueled throughout the day and gathering for coffee + connection
• Televisions and clickshare buttons so the community can share ideas in a supportive and nurturing environment
• Decor and art supplies that will bring joy to the space, and give students a creative outlet

Every gift, no matter the amount, will help make GW Hillel a home. Our goal is to have 100 donors give to the campaign! For graduating seniors, your gift will contribute to the Senior Class Gift Campaign, too. 

As vaccinations increase and the covid pandemic comes to an end, your generosity will ensure that our doors are wide open and ready when it is safe to do so. Students are eager and ready to utilize the building and make it a home of their own during their time on campus. 

There are naming opportunities available in the building, starting at $15,000, which can be paid over 5 years. In addition to building support, donors can also choose to support Hillel’s student programing and events. How to become an advocate? 

Step 1: Sign Up - Click “Sign Up” in the top right corner of the screen or from the advocate tab/dashboard below. 

Step 2: Share - Once you’ve logged in, you can use the buttons and links that appear next to the video and/or on the advocate tab at the bottom of the page. - Share your link via social media, email, and/or text. Every share, click, and gift generated from your unique link automatically tracks your influence as an advocate. You can also set up a matching donation or challenge gift.

Step 3: Share a Little More - Create a plea video (accessed on the advocate tab below) to tell your peers and friends about this campaign.
