Today is Giving Tuesday, and we hope you will count GW among the causes and organizations you support!
This Giving Tuesday, the GW community will come together to support the GW Cares Student Assistance Fund and provide critical support to GW students facing unexpected financial hardship. Your gift will provide a brighter future for GW students and help remove challenges, including sudden travel and housing expenses, lost income, and food insecurity.
The Cares fund was established in March 2020 to provide critical support to GW students and help them through unexpected financial hardship so they may complete their schoolwork in a safe, secure environment.
Please join our efforts and make an immediate impact in the lives of GW students like Evelyn.
“After my family’s employment circumstances changed, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to afford personal expenses and necessities on top of my educational costs. Since receiving support from the Cares Fund, I have been able to focus on my academic and professional growth without worrying about basic expenses.
I am excited to graduate and find a job in my profession. As my mother is a single parent and I am a first-generation college student, achieving this goal is a huge milestone for me and my family."
Your contribution on Giving Tuesday will help remove obstacles for many students who may not otherwise be able to continue their education.
Thank you for your care! Every gift, no matter the size, will make a difference.

Thanks to your commitment to GW and your generosity, we now have more than $20,000 in additional funding available to our students in need of emergency support. Your donation today will gift someone the opportunity to continue their education despite unexpected obstacles; this means the world to a student.
Please help us once more by sharing this campaign on your social media with your network; we have less than 4 hours to spread the word and make a difference in someone's life.
We are grateful for your philanthropy on this day of giving.
