Why is my chosen fund not listed on the Giving Day page?
GW Giving Day features university priorities and areas of need that are especially important this year. We appreciate your support wherever you choose to give so you are welcome to select “Other” on the giving form to make a gift to the area of your choice.
Is there a minimum donation amount?
Yes, there is a minimum $5 donation during Giving Day.
Where does my gift go?
Your gift, your choice. You may choose to designate your gift to the GW area of your choice. Just click “Give Now” and select where you’d like to designate your gift.
Can I split my gift?
Yes! You can split your gift and support up to five different areas in one transaction.
Can I volunteer?
Yes! We need volunteers to help make Giving Day a success. Please see the advocate tab on this page for more information, including how to sign up. For our comprehensive Giving Day volunteer toolkit, please visit our information page: givingday.gwu.edu/advocate.
Is my gift tax deductible?
The George Washington University is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. You may be able to receive a tax deduction for your gift to the university. Please contact your tax advisor for further information.
Can I make a gift of stock, by wire transfer, or through my donor-advised fund?
